Denisse Sanchez is a policy analyst at Families USA where she provides critical analysis on a variety of issues including Medicaid and prescription drug pricing. She also supports the organization’s health equity and value work, providing analysis on the effectiveness of community health workers and assisting with the Health Equity Task Force for Delivery and Payment Transformation.
Prior to Families USA, Denisse held research positions at George Washington University, Truth Initiative, and Kaiser Family Foundation, in areas relating to school-based telehealth programs, smoking cessation intervention for people living with HIV, and health disparities. She also implemented a community-based obesity prevention program from a federally qualified health center in Los Angeles, CA.
She received her MPH from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University and her BA in anthropology from the University of California, San Diego.
