Tell Your Senators: Don’t Put Our Health Care Safety Net at Risk

After narrowly passing the House of Representatives, the Republican bill that would repeal the Affordable Care Act is now under consideration by the Senate. The American Health Care Act (AHCA), as the bill passed by the House is called, would reverse the nation’s recent progress in health coverage and health care.

In these early stages of the Senate debate over repealing the Affordable Care Act, it is critical that senators understand that they should not put their constituents’ health care at risk.

Now is the time to mobilize your networks and encourage them to reach out to their senators.

Use our tool to email your senators and find their office phone numbersAsk senators to reject any bill that does not provide the same level and quality of coverage and consumer protections to as many people as the Affordable Care Act and cuts the Medicaid program.

Specifically, we are urging constituents to ask their senators to oppose any proposals that do the following damage to America’s health care:

  • Destroys the Medicaid program as we know it by changing the structure through block grants or per capita caps
  • Ends the Affordable Care Act’s Medicaid expansion, no matter when
  • Increases the number of people without health insurance
  • Undermines the consumer protections put in place by the Affordable Care Act

Just enter your address in our tool and you’ll have the option to personalize an email to send to both your senators.
