Ellen Albritton is a Senior Policy Analyst with the health system transformation team at Families USA. She works with national and state partners to advance delivery reforms that improve the quality and reduce the cost of health care. She also focuses on improving the capacity of the health care system to address the social determinants of health, including through the use of community health workers.
Prior to joining Families USA, Ms. Albritton was a Research Associate at AcademyHealth. There, she led a research project that assessed the evidence base, identified pressing research gaps, and synthesized emerging policy issues related to community health workers, peer health workers, and patient navigators. She was also a member of the national evaluation team for the CHIPRA Quality Demonstration Evaluation, which distributed grants to 18 states to improve the quality of health care for children with coverage through Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Ms. Albritton previously worked as an Associate at NETWORK, where she coordinated Medicaid expansion campaigns in 14 states.
Ms. Albritton received a bachelor of science in public health from Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice.
