Policy Analyst

Natasha Kumar is a Policy Analyst at Families USA, where she provides critical analysis and strategy on key issues such as surprise billing, prescription drug costs, private insurance coverage, health equity, health systems transformation, and maternal and child health. Before coming to Families USA, Natasha served as a Health Policy Fellow for Congresswoman Doris Matsui, where she worked on a wide range of health issues including telehealth, prescription drug costs, mental health, surprise billing, and special disease groups. Prior to that, Natasha worked for Nemours Children’s Health System as a Health Policy Intern, where she provided support to the policy team on research regarding social determinants of health, telehealth, and alternative payment models. Natasha has a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Health Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from The Ohio State University.
