Statement of Principles: The Coalition for Fair Drug Prices
03.21.2019
Eight in ten Americans say the cost of prescription drugs is “unreasonable.” This is a problem driven by high launch prices and price increases, which are rooted in drug corporations’ monopoly power and perverse incentives within the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Families USA and 11 organizations, representing health care consumers, providers, and labor unions, joined together to form the Coalition for Fair Drug Prices (CFDP). The Coalition’s Statement of Principles articulates shared goals for prescription drug policy that convey our common vision about prescription drugs in the United States.
