Families USA letter to Ways and Means Committee on legislative efforts to end pricing abuses and improve transparency

Ahead of a potential legislation markup on Wednesday, Families USA sent the following letter today to the Ways and Means Committee urging them to make forward momentum on legislation that puts a stop to pricing abuses and makes price transparency meaningful and accessible for consumers, empowering patients, employers, unions, and our government to drive down our individual and collective health-care costs through informed healthcare decisions. The letter makes it clear that Families USA would have deep concerns with any legislation that rolls back progress or weakens rights granted to consumers in the existing hospital and coverage price transparency law and regulations.
