Ensuring Health Care Coverage for DACA Recipients

Families USA has submitted a comment letter responding to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposed rule “Clarifying Eligibility for a Qualified Health Plan Through an Exchange, Advance Payments of the Premium Tax Credit, Cost-Sharing Reductions, a Basic Health Program, and for Some Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs”.

Families USA believes all people deserve access to health care coverage, including immigrants and their families. We support the work CMS and HHS have done to improve health care access for immigrants, especially for DACA recipients in the proposed rule, and hope to see health care coverage extended to all immigrant communities.
