Consumers First Joint Statement for the Record for the House Energy and Commerce Legislative Hearing

Consumers First, the alliance that brings together the interests of consumers, employers, labor unions, and primary care clinicians working to realign and improve the fundamental economic incentives and design of the health care system, submitted the attached joint statement for the record for today’s House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing on “Lowering Unaffordable Costs: Legislative Solutions to Increase Transparency and Competition in Health Care.” The statement encourages the committee to consider and advance well-vetted, bipartisan, and commonsense proposals including efforts to codify and strengthen price transparency rules and expand site neutral payments, which track recommendations from their March 28 statement.
