06.07.2023
Consumers First, the alliance that brings together the interests of consumers, employers, labor unions, and primary care clinicians working to realign and improve the fundamental economic incentives and design of the health care system, submitted the attached joint statement for the record for the Senate Finance Committee hearing on “Consolidation and Corporate Ownership in Health Care: Trends and Impacts on Access, Quality, and Costs” on June 8. The statement urges the committee to consider the root drivers of the health affordability crisis and to advance well-vetted, bipartisan, and commonsense proposals including efforts to expand site neutral payments.
This statement is signed by the Consumers First Steering Committee and 30 supporting organizations in coalition.
