Brief of Amici Curiae Families USA et al. Supporting Petitioner the State of California et al.

Families USA, together with Community Catalyst, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Maryland Citizens Initiative, Nebraska Appleseed, Utah Health Policy Project, and Young Invincibles, has filed an amici brief in the health care repeal lawsuit, California v. Texas (or Texas v. California), now before the U.S. Supreme Court. Our brief, citing studies and quoting consumers, explains that enormous harm would befall patients and their families if the Affordable Care Act was struck down – and especially in the midst of a pandemic. Congress did not intend this.
