Appendix 2- The Catastrophic Cost of Uninsurance, By County: COVID-19 Cases and Deaths Closely Tied to America’s Health Coverage Gaps

By Stan Dorn, Rebecca Gordon,

03.22.2021

This appendix estimates the impact of health coverage gaps on COVID-19 cases and deaths, at the county level. It begins by listing the individual counties that have experienced the greatest total impact. It then provides links to state-specific tables, showing the toll of health insurance gaps in each county. In some counties, the number of COVID-19 deaths or cases was so small that we could not reliably estimate the impact of health coverage gaps. In those cases, we left rows blank.
