Families USA has recognized Brittney A. Newton, MPH, Sr. Policy Analyst at Voices for Georgia’s Children, with the 2023 Health Justice Advocate of the Year for Health Equity. An alumni of Families USA’s Health Equity Academy Fellowship program, Brittney was nominated for her instrumental leadership in passing Georgia’s Mental Health Parity Act, which expands access to affordable behavioral health services throughout the state. Brittney has served as a leader in supporting advocates in states across the country in expanding health workforce equity and behavioral health care access, sharing her insights and expertise to inform their strategies.
