Families USA’s Health Action Conference in person for first time since 2020
Sen. Wyden to headline largest gathering of healthcare advocates in the country

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Ron Wyden will be among the slate of speakers at the Families USA 28th annual Health Action Conference. This year’s conference, organized around the theme of The Power of Community, is being held as a hybrid event for the first time, next Thursday and Friday.

The conference’s focal point will be helping participants from across the country – largely advocates from the national, state and local levels – mobilize around shared efforts to make sure everyone can get better health care and live healthier lives regardless of the color of their skin, what language they speak or how much money they make. Attendees will participate in various sessions and workshops to help them work towards profound policy changes in 2023 and beyond.

As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Sen. Wyden is a steadfast proponent of creating an equitable health care system for families who believes that if people don’t have their health, everything else often falls to the wayside. His leadership has helped get laws giving Medicare the ability to negotiate prescription drug prices and expanding health care to new mothers and babies over the finish line.
