Media Advisory: Medicaid Block Grants: Hurting Families and Hurting States Webinar
On Thursday during a special event in Washington, DC, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is set to release guidance encouraging states to block grant their Medicaid programs.
This guidance will give states the green light to fundamentally change the nature of their Medicaid programs in exchange for anticipated trivial flexibility, putting the health and welfare of millions in jeopardy.
Following CMS’s announcement, Families USA will host a webinar to hear reactions and policy implications on the new guidance and the impact it will have on families.
Among the speakers on the webinar will be Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. Rep. Pallone is Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has primary jurisdiction over Medicaid.
