Families USA Submits Comments On South Carolina’s Proposed Medicaid 1115 Demonstration Waiver

Families USA strongly urges CMS to reject South Carolina’s proposed 1115 Demonstration wavier, Palmetto Pathways to Independence, citing its failure to advance the statutory objectives of the Medicaid program, lack of compliance with provisions of H.R. 1 that apply to work requirements and “minimum essential coverage” and potential to leave thousands of eligible individuals without access to health care services.
