Families USA Submits Comments on 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) Proposed Rule

Families USA, joined by 16 organizations, submitted comments on the calendar year (CY) 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) proposed rule. If implemented, the recommended payment changes have the potential to catalyze the transformational changes needed to drive high-value care and advance health equity throughout the U.S. health care system.

Comments focus on the following issue areas:

• The proposed creation of bundled payment codes that advance health equity and the delivery of high-value primary care.
• The proposed additional financial support for Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) providers who deliver care to under-resourced communities.
• The opportunity to connect more patients to providers who are held accountable for the cost and quality of their care.

Families USA regularly engages in this annual comment period to uplift the consumer voice and applaud current efforts to improve health care quality measures that incorporate the social drivers of health (SDOH).
