Frederick Isasi Statement on President Trump’s First 100 Days

Washington, D.C. – Following is the statement of Frederick Isasi, executive director of Families USA, on President Trump’s marking his first 100 days in office tomorrow:

“As President Trump hits the 100-day point of his administration, millions of families across the nation will mark the milestone in fear that his relentless march to take away their health care will finally succeed, throwing their finances into turmoil and their hopes for a healthy future to the whims of the insurance industry.

“At Families USA, we hear these stories of personal anguish every day. The parent of a child with hemophilia who fears treatment might be cut off. The self-employed real estate agent battling lymphoma, worrying her premiums could spike or she could lose coverage altogether.

“As President Trump moves on to the next 1,360 days of his Presidency, we ask him to listen to these voices and remember his own words from his book, “The America We Deserve:”

“We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses… The goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own.”
