Arielle Kane

Director, Medicaid Initiatives

Arielle Kane leads all of Families USA’s work related to Medicaid. Before working at Families, Kane was the director of health care policy at the Progressive Policy Institute. While there, she wrote policy content and opinion pieces on Medicaid, health care innovation, maternal health and health care cost issues. She also worked partner organizations and policymakers as a technical expert on various health policy proposals. Previously, Kane was a health care adviser for the Bloomberg 2020 campaign, worked at the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions, and worked in state politics in Oregon. She holds a BS in political science from the University of Oregon, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and serves as a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University.
