Ellen Albritton is a Senior Policy Analyst at Families USA, where she focuses on how the transition to a value-based health care system can be leveraged to achieve health equity. She also helps lead Families USA’s Community Health Worker (CHW) Sustainability Collaborative. Working with national, state, and local partners, the CHW Sustainability Collaborative is working to secure more sustainable funding for CHWs, particularly within Medicaid, and to better integrate CHWs into the health care system. Additionally, Ms. Albritton supports Families USA’s Prescription Drug Pricing Collaborative, which brings together consumer health advocates from across the country to enact policies that will protect consumers from high prescription drug prices.
Prior to joining Families USA, Ms. Albritton was a Research Associate at AcademyHealth. There, she worked on a number of research projects concerning different payment and delivery reform efforts, including improving care for children with special health care needs, increasing utilization of CHWs, and improving care for people with mental and behavioral health conditions. She previously worked as an Associate at NETWORK, where she coordinated Medicaid expansion campaigns in several states.
Ms. Albritton received a bachelor of science in public health from Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice.
