Dee Mahan - Deputy Director of Health Policy
Dee Mahan is Deputy Director of Health Policy at Families USA, a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. In this position, she focuses on issues related to Medicare and prescription drugs. She is the author of numerous policy papers, fact sheets, issue briefs, and other publications on Medicare, the Medicare drug benefit, and prescription drug pricing.
Prior to joining Families USA in 2000, Ms. Mahan was a partner with Lash Group health care consulting firm, where her work included strategy consulting for hospitals and developing patient assistance programs and foundations for pharmaceutical companies. She has over 15 years' experience in the health care industry. Ms. Mahan has a J.D. and a post-graduate degree in Health Care Administration, both from George Washington University.
