Medicaid is a critical source of health coverage for millions of seniors and people with disabilities. It's particularly vital to those who need nursing home and other long-term care—and their families. Yet Medicaid is threatened with cuts so severe they could cripple the program and put enrollees at risk.

This report assesses the human impact of proposed Medicaid cuts on the seniors and people with disabilities who need long-term care. It provides new national and state data on how many people would be affected by proposed cuts, as well as data on how the cuts would hurt families, state workers, the long-term care infrastructure, and state economies.
