New Story Bank Project from Families USA: My Coverage Story

October 1 was a momentous day for millions of Americans who signed up for quality, affordable health coverage—many for the first time, and many others who have struggled to afford coverage. More Americans now have peace of mind because they know that if they get sick, they won’t go bankrupt from high medical bills and that they will receive the care they need, when they need it.

But there are still people who are confused about enrollment or who just don’t realize that they qualify for health coverage. One great way to ensure that everyone who is eligible for coverage actually enrolls is to share our own stories of successful enrollment.

That’s why Families USA is launching “My Coverage Story,” a national project to collect and share stories from real people who have successfully enrolled in new health coverage.

If you or someone you know is enrolling in new health coverage, tell us about it. Whether it’s an uncle with a pre-existing condition, a neighbor whose job doesn’t offer health insurance, or a sister who has recently been laid off, we all may know someone who can benefit from enrolling in quality, affordable coverage thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

Sharing your story shows everyone that the law is helping real people, and it reminds others about the new coverage opportunities and benefits that are available.

Visit www.mycoveragestory.org to share your enrollment experience today. Your voice matters!
